We celebrated the work of the UCLH Charity ambassadors at a special event last week.

UCLH Charity ambassadors are members of staff, who on top of their day jobs, voluntarily take on the role of ambassadors to support and spread the word about UCLH Charity.

At the ‘thank you’ event, UCLH Charity chairman Nigel Keen presented the ambassadors with certificates and new colourful Charity ambassador pin badges.

Nigel said, “We are extremely grateful to our ambassadors. We hope they will wear their new pin badges with pride, so they can be easily recognised and spread the word about who we are and what we do. From helping out at bake sales, to cheering on runners at challenge events, to taking part in marathons, the sky dive and abseil, the role of the ambassador is certainly a varied one! But what all the ambassadors bring is a great sense of commitment and bags of enthusiasm to help promote the work of UCLH Charity and the difference it makes to patients, staff and research at UCLH.”

The event took place at the rooftop garden at the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, which has recently undergone substantial refurbishment with new containers, lush planting and new furniture, thanks to money raised by the gardens appeal.
