IMG_7110.jpegYoung patients at UCLH enjoyed some extra Easter cheer this year thanks to a generous donation of more than 300 Easter eggs from 55 Baker Street.

The donation was collected by companies at 55 Baker Street as part of their annual Easter egg collection for local hospitals. This year, the team chose to support UCLH Charity, helping to bring a moment of joy to patients and their families during the Easter period.

Staff from 55 Baker Street visited UCLH to deliver the eggs and left in the knowing that their support will make a difference as the UCLH play team distribute the eggs across the wards. For many children, these small acts of kindness can create a smile and moment of joy during their hospital stay.

Huma Ahmed, senior play specialist at UCLH play and youth services team, said: "We’ve hopped into Easter with a kind donation from 55 Baker Street. Thank you! These chocolate treats have spread smiles, joy, laughter and fun!"

To add to the fun, the play team were also joined by a special visitor, the Easter bunny, who was helping to hand out the eggs and create memorable moments for patients and families, with plenty of smiles captured along the way.

Jonathan Roberts, corporate fundraising manager at UCLH Charity said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at 55 Baker Street for their generosity and support. These Easter eggs make a real difference, bringing happiness to children and families at what can be a very difficult time. Thank you for helping us create these moments of joy!”

Support from companies helps UCLH Charity continue to fund projects that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide. If you your company are interested in supporting, click here to find out how to get involved.
