Pyrenees Challenge 2019

Join a small group of UCLH staff and patients on a two day cycling challenge to raise money for the UCH Cancer Fund covering 100km and taking in the stunning scenery of the Pyrenees this June.

Every year we do a cycle challenge - Manchester in 2017, Amsterdam in 2018 and in 2019 - it's the Pyrenees!  The challenge is being organised and supported by one of our long-term supporters and an inspiring person who also happens to be a cancer patient here at UCLH. Roger Mackenzie was successfully treated for prostate cancer three years ago and ever since, has arranged a cycle for himself and a group of friends to raise money for the UCH Cancer Fund.  To date, he has helped to raise £30,000.  This year, he embarked on our Amsterdam to London cycle and was inspired to organise a new cycle challenge for 2019. This time, however, he is hoping to fill his 16 places with UCLH staff and patients who would like a memorable challenge, post treatment.

This is an opportunity to spend a weekend cycling in some of the most remote and beautiful mountains made famous by the Tour de France and to raise vital funds for the UCH Cancer Fund. The registration fee is £300 and we ask you raise a minimum of £800 in sponsorship - our fundraising team is here to help you reach your target!

Date of the Challenge is 28- 30 June 2019.
