Our new report shows the difference charitable funds can make to patients, staff and research at UCLH
The recent refurbishment of the children and young people’s emergency department is just one example of the difference charitable donations to UCLH Charity can make to patients and staff.
The department at University College Hospital has had a makeover with new paint work, bespoke wall art and new seating, making it a more welcoming, age-appropriate space for the thousands of young patients who visit each year.
The refurbishment is one of many improvements made possible by money raised by the fundraising team. A new charitable giving impact report highlights further examples which include music sessions for young inpatients with cancer, replanting and refreshing of UCLH’s garden spaces and long covid research.
Carol Haraldsson, head of charitable giving, said, “The report is a look back at what has been made possible by money raised by the UCLH fundraising team, the ‘over and above’ that the NHS cannot afford, and the difference these projects have made to patient and staff experience.”
The report is available here online and in print across hospital sites.
UCLH Charity is the official charity of UCLH NHS Foundation Trust.
