Home Support our funds Keeping UCLH in bloom

Despite our urban location in the heart of London, UCLH is fortunate to have dedicated garden spaces which can be enjoyed by patients, staff and visitors alike. We need your help to renew and provide ongoing care for these gardens and green spaces.

We know that our green spaces, which can be found on the rooftops of the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, the Grafton Way Building and at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, can provide sanctuary and tranquility for all to enjoy.  The staff garden at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals provides an outdoor respite space for staff on their much needed breaks.  Research confirms that gardens can contribute to a greater sense of wellbeing, improved patient outcomes and sustainability.  Our gardens require a significant investment to keep them healthy and thriving.  NHS funds cannot support either the creation or maintenance of these precious green spaces.  But with your help, we can ensure these gardens continue to flourish all year round and for many years to come.

Donations so far this year have made a complete garden refresh possible at the Grafton Way Building and a partial plant refresh at the Cancer Centre and Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals.  A very generous donation helped us to transform an uninspiring courtyard space into a lush forest floor garden at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Check out our photo gallery below.
