We fund improvements and enhancements to hospital spaces across UCLH, making them better for patients and staff.  We also fund new, state-of-the-art equipment, so patients receive the best possible care.  Here are some examples of how we’ve made a difference:

Keeping UCLH in bloom

Our gardens appeal has successfully raised vital funds to replenish, refresh and maintain UCLH’s precious green spaces, making them the very best they can be.  The gardens, found in different locations across UCLH, provide an oasis of calm, peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of clinical spaces, for patients, staff and visitors.

Investing in robotic surgery

We've invested £5m in new and refreshed robotic surgery equipment at UCLH.  This new equipment at the University College Hospital Grafton Way Building and Westmoreland Street will mean more patients will be treated, more effectively, helping to reduce post-pandemic waiting lists.

Refurbishment of children and young people’s emergency department

Following a successful fundraising campaign, the children and young people’s emergency department at University College Hospital has had a makeover making it a more welcoming, age-appropriate space for the thousands of young patients who visit each year.
