Keeping young people safe from harm

With neighbouring borough councils Camden and Islington, we fund Redthread’s Youth Violence Intervention Programme at University College Hospital.  Specialist youth workers work alongside clinical teams in the Emergency Department to offer advice and support to young people attending with injuries consistent with youth violence and/or exploitation.  By offering advice, guidance and support at this ‘teachable moment', it is hoped that Redthread can help young people make healthier choices for a future safe from further harm.
