Philip is the charity’s Chief Executive. He first joined the charity in 2000 as one of the trustees and became its first Chief Executive in March 2007. He was a non-executive director and deputy chairman of the UCLH Foundation Trust for over 15 years.
His background is in finance, investments and manufacturing. He focuses on formulating and implementing projects that are designed to improve patient care and reduce costs, whilst ensuring sustainability for the NHS.
Philip is also a director of the charity’s subsidiaries and a trustee of the Essex Wynter Charity.
Peter is the Development Director for UCLH Charity. He first joined the charity in 1992 as Treasurer having had a long and distinguished career in the National Health Service spanning over 40 years. Peter spent 25 years as Finance Director at a number of London teaching hospitals and latterly as Director of Capital Investment at UCLH with board responsibility for strategic development.
Peter was responsible for the construction and commissioning of the new University College Hospital, one of the largest and most complex teaching hospitals built under the government’s Private Finance Initiative.
Peter is also Chairman of the trustees of the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education and a trustee of the Essex Wynter Charity.
Zung is the Charity Secretary. She has been with the charity for over 25 years. Her responsibilities include the charity’s governance, legacies, grants and investments. She has been involved with a number of restructurings for NHS charities, and most recently managed the charity’s migration to independent status.
Jo is the charity’s Finance Director. She joined UCLH Charity as a newly-qualified chartered accountant in 2005 and took up her current role in 2010. She oversees all aspects of the charity’s finances, administers its discretionary funds and manages the finance team.
