World Hearing Day - Saturday 3rd March

Read about how we are developing hearing services this World Hearing Day.

The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, part of the UCLH group of hospitals, has an international reputation as a centre of excellence, particularly for hearing services.

Each year, thousands of adults and children are treated by expert teams for a range of conditions from hearing loss including cochlear implants, auditory processing disorders,  intrusive tinnitus and debilitating balance problems.  The hospital has a long and rich tradition of research and innovation which continues with the new TRV balance chair which can not only diagnose conditions but also treat the symptoms.

The next year marks an important chapter in the history of the hospital. In  2019, it will relocate, together with the Eastman Dental Hospital to a new facility on Huntley Street, close to University College Hospital. The new facility will enable specialist teams to work together to provide seamless care for patients in a new, purpose built facility.

The donations mean we can enhance patient care and services over and above what the NHS can provide, such as improving the play areas for children. Support or read more about the work here.
