I have worked for UCLH for over seven years in a number of different areas including the UCH Cancer Fund and the National Brain Appeal. As Deputy Head of Charitable Giving, I am responsible for community fundraising in a number of different areas of UCLH, including University College Hospital, The Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing. I love fundraising for a hospital that I was born at and supporting the amazing staff that have always supported me and my family. I take part in a fundraiser every year – last year saw me cycling the Col du Tourmalet, the highest paved pass in the French Pyrenees.

Major Donor Manager
I joined the fundraising team in 2019, after two years developing fundraising projects for the hospital on a voluntary basis. As Major Donor Manager, my focus is on working with partners to secure high level funding which supports projects across UCLH. I bring a strategic perspective to my role and a host of experience from charities, agencies and government organisations, covering campaigns, communications and events as well as community, trust and major donor fundraising. As a former UCLH patient and relative, I feel privileged to be able to use my professional skills to support the hospital, having experienced first-hand the world class kindness and care which UCLH has to offer.

I started at UCLH Charity as Fundraising Manager in 2019 after six years working in similar roles at other charities. Prior to being a fundraiser I was a frontline worker, predominantly in the homeless sector in the Boroughs of Camden and Islington. My fundraising is carried out across a number of areas including University College Hospital, The Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing. As well as developing opportunities for fundraising in the hospitals, I am also currently developing a strategy for reaching out to the local community to encourage involvement and support. I love working for UCLH Charity. The job is varied and exciting and I enjoy getting involved in a variety of activities from awareness stands in the hospitals to organising the annual Carol Concert.

I have enjoyed being part of the UCLH Charity fundraising team since joining as the team administrator in 2018 which involved supporting fundraising events and awareness days and managing our volunteers. All this helped me gain valuable knowledge and prepared me for my current role where I am responsible for a wide range of projects, most recently a new database which will help us stay connected with our fantastic supporters. I am happy to be able to support such an amazing hospital trust, known for its patient care, excellent education and world class research.
