We’re funding welcome packs for patients admitted to UCLH.

We’re delighted to fund a project led by the patient experience team at UCLH to help make coming to hospital that bit better. PXL_20260519_131813402.PORTRAIT.jpg

Inpatient welcome packs are being given to patients admitted to UCLH for a hospital stay.

Lisa Sadler, senior nurse, Acute Medical Unit (AMU), University College Hospital, explained the difference they make: “The packs provide a few essential items – like ear plugs, non-slip socks and a pen and paper – and are a vital resource for patients who unexpectedly find themselves admitted to hospital. Unplanned admissions are very common in the AMU, and it can be a distressing, uncertain time.

"The welcome packs are a small thing that can help patients feel a bit more comfortable, and can tide them over until they go home or until their families and friends can bring them things they might need. Feedback about the packs is overwhelmingly positive.”

This is just one example of how we go ‘above and beyond’ to enhance patient experience. You can help us do more by supporting us – either by taking on a fundraising challenge, or making a donation.

Thank you, together we can do more!
