We provide loans to staff to purchase season tickets for bus or rail travel. We issue a warrant and you take it to your station to get the ticket. You then pay us back in installments which are deducted from your salary, spreading the cost over
12 months, interest free.

The Trustees consider bids for major grants at their quarterly meetings, however, these bids must be approved by the Board of the NHS Foundation Trust prior to submission to the Trustees.
Staff can apply to the Friends of UCLH for smaller grants towards patient amenities (up to about £5,000).
If you have worked for the Trust for 10 years or more and are leaving, you may be entitled to a leaving gift and leaving party grant. The leaving gift takes the form of John Lewis vouchers and is paid at a rate of £15 for every complete year of service, while the party grant is £10 for each year up to a maximum of £250.

The Trustees make grants to the Clinical Research and Development Committee which oversees Fast Track and General Research projects. If you are seeking funding for a research project, the CRDC may be able to help.

Every Christmas, the Trustees allocate a sum of money to departments as a token of appreciation of the hard work and commitment of the Trust´s employees. Funds are provided for each bed too, so that the patients can share in the celebrations, and the Trustees also pay for Christmas trees. Each autumn we write to departments to update our records
of the number of staff, so if you are a head of department and think you should be on our list of contacts for this,

Every year we hold a ceremony to recognise the achievement of those who have worked at the Trust for 25 years.
Each person receives a crystal bowl from the Chairman of UCLH as a token of the Trust´s appreciation.

Senior staff and consultants are permitted to open funds within UCLH Charity, to receive donations and to support the overall aims of the Charity. Anyone wishing to establish a charitable fund must complete an application form.

Please ensure that the following information is included:
Applications from ward sisters should be supported by a letter from the appropriate General Manager.
Completed forms should be sent to Rachel Wilcox at the main charity address. Successful applicants will receive a letter confirming the fund has been established and notifying them of the unique fund reference. The information pack also includes detailed guidance on using the fund, and a specimen signature form which must be completed before any payments are requested.
Consultants or other staff who leave the Foundation Trust have no automatic right to transfer funds to another organisation.
