Who we are
University College London Hospitals Charity (UCLH Charity) is the main charity supporting University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are registered with the Charity Commission (registered number 229771) and regulated by UK Charity Law. Our Trustees are appointed by the NHS Appointments Commission.

UCL Hospitals can trace its history back to 1745, when The Middlesex Hospital was established with charitable donations.
Today it comprises seven general and specialist hospitals:

Services formerly housed in The Middlesex Hospital and St Peter’s Hospital are now provided in University College Hospital (UCH).
UCLH Charity is the recognised body to receive donations and legacies for any of these hospitals.
